Centering is the term used for finding your spine's optimum position for performing Pilates exercises. It involves finding the point halfway between anterior (forward) and posterior (backward) pelvic tilt. This is used as a reference point for all starting positions.
However, this method is only an approximation, and although a video has been provided to help you discover pelvic tilt, you may still need expert advice to find your own individual neutral position. Please do not carry out this exercise if it causes pain or discomfort, or you are not sure if it is right for you.
